Originally, it is called Jack Snarb Muk in the Khmer language.
Jack means banana.
Snarb means pad, padding.
Muk means face.
It is named after its shapes.

This banana is ranked fourth in banana popularity in Cambodia – first is Namwa, second is Ombong, and third is Pong Moan.

Mostly, snarb muk is a dessert. It can be boiled. It can be a milky banana dessert. It can be caramelized banana.
These are what I have known about snarb muk.
If you tour Cambodia, don’t forget to search for this banana. It is not tasty unless you make it into sweets like I mentioned above. However, you can try both fresh and cooked snarb muk.
