Homemade – breakfast, lunch, dinner

I’m not sure if it is lotus root or stem in English. I decided to call it young lotus root.

In general, my house cooked it by frying it with oil and pork, sometimes with poultry. 

These days Cambodia is facing a weather problem. I don’t know what it exactly is, but it makes us lose appetite. We find all foods are boring, and we eat in the morning or at lunch, and then we will find another food in the next meal. To reduce food waste, my house decided to fry the young lotus root with chicken meat and also add pineapple that was sliced thinly. Because the pineapple is sour, it seemed to clean our tongues, and we could feel the taste again.

So after this hack, this dish could serve as our breakfast, lunch, and dinner. No throwing away.
