I have not been to the pagoda for the traditional events for many years. Since before the pandemic happened.

This 2024, Khmer New Year started on the evening of the 13th. In the morning my family went to the pagoda, so I decided to go with them.

The pagoda that my family goes to is not in the downtown area. It takes about one hour to reach there if we drive a car. It doesn’t have a big or well-designed temple like the pagoda in the middle of the city, and there are not many visitors.

However, I prefer it more than the pagoda in the city. Because I am a person who likes everything natural, and I don’t like loud noises, and all things I like exist in this rural pagoda.
