In this article, I would like to talk about my lunch, which I cooked.
Water lily stem sour soup

This is an easy one among Cambodian sour soups. The main ingredients are water lily stem and fish.
Because it is called sour soup, it has to be sour, and in order to make it sour, we have to use ripe tamarind.
Other subordinated ingredients of this soup are fish sauce, MSG (optional), and sugar.
The last one is the one that we cannot lack, or the soup will not have a good smell. It is a rice paddy herb.

Fried minced pork with bean sprout
It is a simple one, and it is easy to cook.
The main ingredients are pork, which I minced, and bean sprouts. It took five minutes to make it.

Since these two foods contain more vegetables and fish than meat, all ages can eat them without worry. Also, you can drink cool water or soft drinks. However, the water lily stem sour soup can be found in restaurants around Cambodia, but the fried minced pork and bean sprout is rare because it is a very common food; most restaurants don’t include it in their menu, not even the small food stores. If you want to try the fried minced pork and bean sprout, perhaps you have to do it by yourself.
